Fall Forward

It’s been a while since my last update for all my kids.  Paris seems like ages ago and I long to go back soon.  However, back to reality and the here and now.  My kids have been running since the day after we landed.  It really is amazing.how fast you have to get back into the swing of things.

Batter Up

My youngest son has started the school year in his gifted class.  He absolutely loves it!  The teacher’s are great and engaging.  He finally started taking cello lessons with my older kids teacher.  Surprisingly, he says he loves playing cello.  Shocking to me.  All is well with my little guy.

Next batter

My daughter is off and running as well.  She is in the Youth Orchestra in our County and is doing very well.  She has a really good chance of being principal.  She is trying to get into CTY and is studying for the SCAT Test.  We found a really good online tutoring company that  has very reasonable rates with good tutors.  We picked this one because it offers tutors that specialize in the SCAT test.  We  looked all over the place and there is very little being offered online.  I will write a full review on them very soon. 

Third hole batter

My oldest son is feeling the full effect of Junior Year.  He is taking four AP classes and has been regularly going to sleep at 2 or 3 AM every weekday.  It seems harsh but that is the reality of taking so many hard classes.  On top of that he is in the NY Youth Symphony, NY All-State, an all cello adult ensemble, practicing for the National Youth Orchestra, volunteering, and taking the SAT’s.  He just finished taking the SAT this past Saturday and said it was hard in one section and easy in the other four.  We shall see in a couple of weeks when the scores come out.  Will keep my fingers crossed.  Will post on my Facebook page. 

My Clean up Hitter

I want to give props to my clean up hitter and my partner in all of this my Tiger Wife.  She fights tooth and nail everyday with them making sure the kids do everything that needs to be done.  She drives them everywhere.  She makes them almost every meal, every day.  I know it’s not easy but she just gets the job done.  I am very proud of her and she hits a grand slam every single day.  Thank you!  I love you!
