So your priority was help to provide running water/sewage for the poorest? You just helped yourself and colluded to overcharge way above 200% from the initial budgeted number. PPK is going to regret not staying in the USA and spend his last years with his grandkids. It’s been uncovered he received bribes while still being Sec. of Economics in Toledo’s cabinet. Not only that, he also approved the emission of bonds to help Brazilian builder Obredecht finance projects. He conveniently had an episode of temporary amnesia and never said he owned a hedge fund that managed the emission. Even Princeton will be embarrassed to keep his name on its walls.

Are you even serious?? He’s speaking metaphorically when he said “is like a nice dog sleeping on the carpet” , meaning 2 things: one, that many of our countries don’t give other nations trouble. Two, that US (Specifically the Trump administration) does not consider the importance of potential that Latin America is for the world. In general US has certain arrogance towards the rest of the American Continent.
Entiendes? no creo… “Un perro bueno recostado en la alfombra” eso es lo que somos para los Estados Unidos, y puede referirse a dos cosas. A que Latin America no le da problemas a USA como nación, y/o que para los EEUU todavía no ve el potencial que tiene latinoamerica, pues aun sus arrogancia es grande.
Yo como Peruana me avergüenzo de compatriotas que critican así. Es un nacionalismo tonto. Tuvimos dos Presidentes y una primera dama con facciones Andinas, y que paso? trajeron bienestar al perú? mejoraron la democracia? ayudaron a que el perú tenga buenas relaciones con otros países?
SI hay muchos gringos rateros, corruptos, etc. Pero también muchos latinos que lo son también. Y esa realidad esta pasando actualmente
