Great Positive Story of Young Black Achievement. Mainstream Media Needs More Stories like This to Garner National and Regional Attention.

I hate those comments that say “just because he is black” that has nothing to do with race. look at his achievements. I see a smart kid .. I don’t see his color got him into those ivies .. stop being jealous and be real.

I don’t get the negativity. Regardless of how he got in, now he has the potential to change the world positively with his newly acquired education.

Thanks YouTube for never disappointing me. I knew when I saw this video, that their would be some assholes on here that will try to undermine this young mans accomplishments, by saying he only got in because he’s black. But these are the same people that will try to say that there is no racism in America or that blacks always play the race card,

do not diminish this mans hard work because he is black. he worked hard throughout his high school career to get admitted to those colleges. his parents worked hard to raise him right.
Hannah Gu · December 10, 2016 at 12:57 am
Honestly he put in the time, he put in the effort, and he put in the dedication. He deserved to get into those schools. And to everyone saying his race had an effect on his acceptances, it did. Schools want diversity, but he was certainly not just accepted just because of his race.

Being happy is the ultimate goal in life folks. Trust me!!
You could have very little formal education and be much more
happy than someone who went to ivy league and making tons of money!!
Seek happiness rather than fortune and fame!!

Nick Harris · May 6, 2017 at 3:29 am
as a black male myself, i do believe being black did give him an edge, however, that still doesnt erase his accomplishments. It seems that people have this idea that if you’re black you can get in college anywhere… you still have to be super intelligent to get into an ivy league school, let alone all 8 of them.
Adam David · May 26, 2017 at 2:50 pm
It’s because he is black
Bang · May 28, 2017 at 6:10 am
So wait he gets A’s in most of his classes, almost a perfect Sat score, multiple extracurricular, volunteers at a hospitals and Churches, plays an instrument and some of you are saying he only got in cause his Black. Really! Then you say your not racist. All of these saying that if he was Asian he wouldn’t have got in, when 25 plus percent of Harvard in Asian. You’re not gonna tell me that all the Asians in Harvard currently did as much as him in High school , he might be better than 10% of all Asian in Harvard. So stop it.

Have you noticed the kids who are getting into all Ivy’s are black? It makes me wonder abt the standards for other races. It’s probs my ridiculously hard.
John Smith · June 12, 2017 at 11:25 pm
To those complaining it’s because he is black or poor: many Asians and Whites have MORE resources to provide for their kids than other social groups; not all of them, OBVIOUSLY, but many. Other people, those with lower incomes, have MUCH less resource to provide for their kids. I’ve know people who are dirt poor and had an on par, if not better, GPA or SAT scores than much wealthier kids. Even if they are sightly less impressive on their grades or scores, they are able to do much more with much less; something Ivy league schools don’t take for granted. If you’re well off, don’t complain that it’s harder, because those who are poor don’t complain how hard it is for them (ever went to bed hungry? ever lacked electricity? been with out a phone?). Stop complaining.
Justin Strang · June 23, 2017 at 11:57 pm
If a middle class white male with the exact same stats applied to the same schools he might get into one.
mosomo17 · July 1, 2017 at 12:09 pm
