What is up with the hosts’ over-exaggerated need to justify themselves? The entire time it feels like they drew the short stick of social ranking in high school, and now their inner passive-aggressiveness comes out. Kinda nauseating.

I think this brings up a neat novelty question. What is the fate of society; socially speaking in a hundred years from now?

If your parents have money, any college will take you. You think George W. Bush would have gotten into Harvard if his Dad wasn’t a prominent government figure?
As if high school is the end all be all. Stupid asshole counselors…and the hosts who are kissing their asses.

I think this inherent belief that we have that everyone can live the American dream is hurting in some ways. When it comes to affirmative action, we definitely should help teens who don’t have access to the finances and connections many well off adolescents have. But when we instill this ideology that everyone has an equal shot, it’s very easy to be short sighted and see things such as affirmative action as unfair favoritism. The reality is that many of those who receive affirmative action just don’t have the same advantages. In short, the American dream creates an extreme sense of entitlement especially when it comes to those who feel achieved.

My view is to allow anyone who desires to attend the University be given the opportunity to take an admissions examination. Those who pass, pass and those who fail, fail. End of story. Those who fail should be given materials to point them in the direction of preparatory schools. Funding is up to each person, personal funds or loans.

Why are we letting someone who has a “Sex Panther” t-shirt on during a broadcast give us advice about college admissions?

The holocaust was a lie, Zionism controls you, and you’ve been living in their synthetic reality since the right before World War I. Humans live in this denial of reality of the past 100 years of human history, because they are forced to deepthroat, and I literally mean *Deep*-*Throat* Zionist lies. If you want to see what your government did, and kept from you, look up *Hellstorm* This film will likely give you nightmares, if you didn’t know anything about it prior to seeing this comment. I myself studied it for years before much info was known but the Soviets leaked many documents and video and etc. So did many other nations over the years, records that were private for a long time by government control were released publicly because they seem to be either stupid with loopholes in their Zionist plots, or they just feel the masses are brainwashed enough to not do their own research – Which is CLEARLY the case for a vast majority of humanity and various nations.
Stop living in a false reality, study history. That doesn’t mean what your teacher gives you. If your teacher is at any school anywhere on Earth, you are being lied to.

My high school guidance counselors only talked about how to game the admissions system. No mention that college ain’t gonna be the 13th grade, it will be 20 times harder than high school ever was.

Has any student who has ever gotten a B even once been accepted to college?

It’s not necessarily true though, that bad grades will prevent you to go to a good college. My English teacher got into Berkeley straight out of high school, even though she failed a lot of her classes during her first three years at high school. She worked hard her senior year and maintained a 3.9 GPA, with a 2.9 overall GPA. Perfect grades are not the only thing they look at during the admission process, they also look at improvement and self development.

Question: I have a B+ GPA at the moment, but I’ve gotten about three C’s in total of my freshman and sophomore year. But all my classes are honors and AP. Would I still get accepted to a good college? I’m freaking out to be honest. 🙁

For me I got to the academic advisor in my college to look for what I need to work on to achieve my dream. Right now I am trying to transfer degree programs to upgrade to the bachelor’s. Hopefully I only need to go through 1 more semester before I can transfer.

This mentality isn’t really the healthiest…I mean, just because you have low grades and made bad decisions as a teenager doesn’t mean you’re adult career is doomed. Yeah these kids might not get into Harvard, but you don’t need to go to Harvard to be a Neuroscientist.
