do you know anyone in the cinema studies aspect of the Tisch School of The Arts? I’m interested in applying this upcoming fall to major in that in the fall of 2018! I was wondering what it was like. Thankssss!

I got accepted to tisch dance and the process was very similar however there is an oral board you have to go through as well as a video submission of an original dance performed by yourself. Originality and uniqueness is imperative to what nyu is looking for. I do plan on releasing a youtube video of my process as well

haha this is super late, but I was wondering…. I went on the NYU website because Tisch is a place I have been looking at for a while now, and I saw the studios meet 3 times a week from 9 to 5 (I’m trying to see if a history double major would work). Can you elaborate on that a little? Is it straight through classes from 9 to 5? Thanks so much!

I have questions:
1) Do you have to be able to sing to get anywhere in the school or do they teach you? Do you have to get a personal voice coach?
2) The acting graduate class said they don’t teach acting…? Im confused
3) I’m more into film acting and not theatre, is this school right for me?

I think it’s my third time watching this video. My GPA is around 3.5 and I’m fighting right now against my laziness, so I can have decent SAT and TOEFL scores. I am so scared. It is my dream school. Here, in Moldova, it’s so easy to apply to University. You just bring your documents to the university and they accept or reject you based on your GPA (10) and that’s it. No essay! No extraccuricular stuff! No anything!

Does NYU allow you to do an audition for the main stage? Or is that option only open to graduates? Also, are you allowed to audition for outside shows? Thank you!!
