I have a question:
I’m going into sophomore year. In freshman year, there was a opportunity to fulfill credit during the summer. I took physics the summer before freshman year. I did it because I wanted to challenge myself for freshman year (biology). During the summer of physics, I got a B in semester 1, then in semester 2 I got a A. I was overwhelmed that we had to take two quizzes each day and a test every Monday and Wednesday and Friday. I was from 8am to 1:30pm. After semester 1, (physics) I promised myself to never give up and always do my best, which resulted in an A. Freshman year, I got all A’s in all my classes. I also go an A in geometry honors, both semesters. Do you think that this 1 B will ruin my chances? Also, two different teachers taught physics. First semester was a different teacher and second semester is a different teacher. My first semester teacher did not like me. Every time I asked him a question, he would ignore me. Every time I would email him, he would never respond. He wanted me to fail because he saw that I stayed with him during break and didn’t like that because I asked too many questions. I’m just so sad because this one teacher gave me a B because he hated me.

if my gpa, extracurriculars, act score, and essay are all good, will having a bad sat subject score and one subpar ap score out of the 9 i’m taking impact my application? should i even submit it? i’m suuuuuuper nervous!

im currently a grade 12 student in Canada. Through my high school year i did very poorly in grade 10 and 11 due to me being sick and other reasons. Though i was able to change my life around, receiving high marks in grade 12 with a lot of volunteer work, community service and after school activities. ive put so much effort and changed my life completely. Finishing off with a high gpa , Harvard would be my dream school though im afraid my past will come back to haunt me as my past marks were not good. do you think i have a chance? 🙁

If my school grades, extra curriculars, community service activities are good, including great supplementary material in the application, considering I’m a musician/ youtuber, but my standardised test scores are average and one is even below average due to circumstantial reasons, do I have any chance at all?
I’m also specifically applying to harvard’s dual degree programme with berklee so would that play any role in affecting my admission?
I’m so so nervous ahhhh

Hi Michael! I’m freshman at university from South Korea and gonna apply Harvard without SAT Subject Tests, because I can’t afford to… I mean I have personal background. I’m worried about whether I get disadvantage without subject tests…To show my academic ability, I came up with an idea which is to submit my first semester GPA. I got 4.2/4.5 and I also got academic scholarship. Do you think it is a good idea?

Hi, hello!!! Going directly into the subject of the matter:D; I moved to the United States in 8th grade from Turkey (+which was an extreme transition, phew!) I normally was supposed be in algebra 1, yet they’ve decided to put me in regular math 8 as they thought that it’d be hard for me to maintain success since I was from a different country (fairly logical I guess?) I am now a sophomore with all honors classes, I also had all A’s during my freshmen year, but my math level is still bothering me, and I want to take Algebra 2/Trigonometry over the summer. Do you think it’s worth spending my time, or will it not harm my college application? I know it’d really depend on the pick major I’ll pick whilst applying, but then again://// Another thing, do you think me moving here from a different country would have a huge impact during college decisions?????? Thankksss
