UPenn has been my dream school for 6 years ever since I watched my cousin graduate from there. I really do hope to get in! Hope you’re enjoying it πŸ™‚

did you meet anyone who didn’t take IB?

Cj Knott · May 26, 2016 at 7:31 am

How did you spend your summers? Did you do any research?

Akriti Keswani · June 6, 2016 at 10:19 pm

Hey, I really appreciate this advice! UPenn has always been one of my dream schools, and I am going to apply this year for Fall 2017! I was thinking of writing my essay about how singing helps me express myself as it is my main passion, do you think they would consider that? Is that something you would recommend writing about in the common app essay?

Sheryl Chen · June 6, 2016 at 10:51 pm

Hi Shirley, I really enjoyed your advice and was wondering if I could e-mail you privately for more info about your essays?

Thank you so much for making this video! I will be applying soon and I totally relate to you. I would like to be a mechanical engineer as well and everything you mentioned was so relatable for me! I did somewhat ok on my SATs but not as high as the Ivy Leagues want it to be. And like you said, I also struggle with comparing myself to others in my school- they are amazing students and literally get perfect scores on everything. You made me realize that we are all different and it’s okay πŸ™‚ thank you for that. You gave me some great ideas for essays as well cause I love art and creating things like you! I really loved this video and it was a tremendous help hearing it from another girl engineer. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for making this video. The University of Pennsylvania is my dream school so I hope I get there some day like you do πŸ™‚ Do you have an email ID through which I could send you questions? I live in India and the resources here are pretty limited so im looking for some help. Thank you very much and congratulations!

Hi Thank you for this video! I am a high school junior and I want to apply for Penn as well. Did you apply an early decision? Do you think applying early has a better chance of getting in?

Emma Potts · June 1, 2017 at 5:12 am

I had to get my SAT fee waivers from my counselor, so do you think if I ask her she will also provide me with the college application fee waivers?
