Geography the best subject

I’m applying to Lehigh, Colgate, Richmond, Syracuse, Emerson, Georgia, Lafayette, Pepperdine, adn Whitman (plus Nevada, Montana, and Wash State as safety) and this video makes me so nervous on account that I never took any AP classes, but I took college classes as a junior and will be as a senior next year, do you know how close to equivalent that would be to AP?

B&M Adventures · March 10, 2017 at 5:04 am

low key jealous of how many schools you got into that have insanely low acceptance rates…especially since I’m 100% sure I’m not going to get into anything other than UT Austin also 2 random things I was thinking whilst watching this video:
thing 1: did you not take the ACT?
thing 2: I hate myself because you said “4.3 weighted gpa yeah I was a nerd in high school” (or something of that sort) and like that’s not even a bad gpa but I have a 4.9 weighted and I think my gpa is awful compared to all of my friends but that’s probably because all of my friends are in the IB program at my school and only nerds do that

anywayss this was a really nice video and I’m definitely going to subscribe and you should maybe check out my videos too (which are so much lamer than you could possibly imagine)

Someone – just one person – subscribe so I can have 420 subscribers for my birthday (tomorrow) plz thx

Hi, thanks for posting this vid! I think we must have had a really similar experience in high school. My stats are ridiculously similar to yours and I definitely have experienced hyper-competitveneness in high school. I’m waiting for my U Chicago decision right now. You mentioned that the university has some flaws that you didn’t foresee. It’s one of my dream schools too and I was just wondering if there’s anything serious I should know about?

rendall creevy · March 19, 2017 at 8:47 pm

I’m merely freshmen but if I got a D this year already am I screwed for a competitive college? (I have all As besides that)

Drew Mixer · April 3, 2017 at 3:57 am

I’m literally 17 seconds into this video and am already in love with your channel. Subbed:) You seem like such a genuine, awesome person

nededen · April 12, 2017 at 4:19 pm

rn my gpa is around 2.7ish and i’m a junior in high school(screwed for a lot of schools) so i’ll have to put school and grades first in order to go to the college i want to apply to

White guy with good GPA applies to UCI.
UCI: Nope you’re privileged! We’re gonna let these people in instead! Tololol!
White guy: FUUUUUU!

i’ve always been a b+ average student with math, but i’ve gotten a+ in all my AP’s and history classes. since i’m applying next year as a history major would having slightly less amazing mathematics grades affect me a lot more when applying to competitive schools?

BINTU SOYEGE · May 1, 2017 at 12:47 am

I think you are right about the uc school thing.

Anastasia25 · June 4, 2017 at 4:39 pm

What instrument did you play in your schools jazz band? I play trumpet in my schools band program.

Veronica Munn · June 15, 2017 at 3:35 am

Sohwi Jung · June 24, 2017 at 6:03 am

Do you happen to know how much it costs to go to Uchicago being in the middle-class?

D'onna Breezy · June 25, 2017 at 4:06 pm

alli nicole · August 2, 2017 at 5:49 pm

I Jordan · August 2, 2017 at 10:38 pm

I’m in 7th grade….how did you guess?

Adam Goudjil · September 3, 2017 at 7:19 am

Thank you for the insightful video. My question to you is: do you think students can achieve your acceptances and achievements without the toll on mental health?
Thank you very much in advance.

Brenton Zhang · September 4, 2017 at 1:41 am

Welp, my daily dose of anxiety! I never taken any AP’s or honors classes. I don’t have good ACT scores, but I have a somewhat of a good GPA. Pretty much its either I go to a good school or join the Army.

Karen Lowe · September 8, 2017 at 3:40 am

Could you do a video discussing some of the problems you encountered at UChicago and your general experience with realizing that your dream school was not in fact this “utopia”? In general, I think a video on problems students might face at UChicago would be super helpful.
