Do you live near your college? Like is it near where you grew up/where your family is?

Jessi Boo · April 29, 2015 at 11:57 pm

i was wondering does having w’s on your transcript from a community college affect you in getting accepted ucla? i ‘think i have to drop a math class because i feel like i am doing really bad in this math class, so i think i have to drop it, and get a W for this math class. What is your best advice? thaankyoju

can I use the same essay for each app, or would I have to write one for each?

Anisah Antullay · June 7, 2015 at 1:52 pm

Hey so, I’m an international student and we don’t have AP classes at my High school. If I still have extremely high marks, will that meet the requirements for UCLA?

Ashley Morello · June 11, 2015 at 5:02 am

Could you guys maybe do a video on your majors and how you chose them? I’d appreciate it so much! I love your channel and all of your videos…just found it today and have been watching nonstop!!

quick question about the act.. So it is my understanding that UCLA only looks at ACT scores that involve the writing score. I took the ACT + Writing and got a solid writing score, but underperformed for my composite score. So my question is, do I have to continue to retake the act with the writing, even though I am content with my writing score on the previous test, or will UCLA look at my writing score and apply it to my other scores?

I am currently a rising sophomore in high school, i got 5 b’s 2nd semester (due to depression and family issues) but all a’s first semester. I am confident that i can get a good SAT/ACT score and all a’s for the rest of my hs career. My ecs are cheerleading, tech team, and engineering club. I will be starting science olympiad and math club my sophomore year as well. I am pretty sure that I will land a few leadership positions, especially in tech team and engineering club, but not in cheer. Would being involved in cheerleading and STEM make me unique and different from others in the application pool? No, I am not doing these ecs just for college, I am truly passionate about cheer and STEM. Also, I am attending an engineering summer program at Stanford in August. Would all these help me get into UCLA/USC? Thanks

Daniele · October 3, 2015 at 1:36 pm

Do you have any advice for IB students ?

Terrell Jones · December 2, 2015 at 8:00 pm

Good stuff!

Angelica Nava · December 30, 2015 at 7:34 pm

USC is private? Does that make it harder to get into and more expensive?

Jeniffer Nunez · January 23, 2016 at 6:30 am

I am attending a Community College. My counselor didn’t recommend me to take any AP classes to transfer to UCLA. Would it be best to just take at least one AP class. Or any experience within my major before transferring?

Did you guys do any/a lot of community service/volunteering? Just wondering because I don’t have a lot of hours and I wonder if it makes a difference. PS I just found your channel and I love it so much. I’ve watched like every video!

ILY LYNN · March 24, 2016 at 4:22 am

I am planning to take an AP class but I’m scared it will lower my GPA so should I take it? What was your experiences when taking an AP class? Can you please to a video about taking AP classes??

Amanuel Ghirmay · June 4, 2016 at 2:05 am

what gpa is needed for USC

Marina Li · June 24, 2016 at 4:59 am

I’m an international student and am going to be a senior next year. I’ve already taken the SAT, and plan on taking SAT subject tests later on. I didn’t realize AP is so important in college admission until now. Unfortunately, it’s too late now coz AP’s in May, and the deadlines for admissions is Nov and Jan. Would my chances in getting into top colleges be lower? Is there anything i can do now to make my application look better?

alisha wilson · July 5, 2016 at 5:47 pm

Which AP Exams did you guys take?

Nico Bam · October 2, 2016 at 4:44 am

Hi. I came across you girls by chance but so glad i did, I would really love to attend UCLA. I want to become a movie director could you do a video on what is needed and stuff like that?

James Tierney · November 1, 2016 at 7:28 pm

If you get a 36 in the ACT, are you guaranteed a spot anywhere

Sara B · January 27, 2017 at 8:10 pm

Did you have really good GPAs? That’s my biggest concern right now…I’m a sophomore in high school and I did REALLY bad last term but I wanna get into USC really bad. Do you think it would have ruined my chances? I know I’m supposed to show upward trajectory but…I’m a little bit stressed to say the least 😅

Hail · April 18, 2017 at 2:12 am

I have really good grades, and take many AP classes but I have one immense worry, I fear that I am not exactly involved enough. I suck at sports so I’m not on a team for that, and I’m only really part of one club for the 3 straight years that I’ve been going to highschool, granted it is one that volunteers and such but I don’t do too much with it. I’m at the end of junior year now so it’s too late to join more, (sophmore year I have an excuse for no clubs though bc of an arts program I attended) but even if I join more clubs next year will that even make a difference? Do clubs even matter if I have really good grades and I volunteer and have a job (showing responsibility)?
